Integrator, used for oceanography. Cylindrical metal housing containing suspension galvanometer mechanism, brass adjusting knob for suspension and zeroing. Admiralty Pattern 5946, serial no. P.705.
Cylindrical metal housing 80 mm diam x 250 mm overal height. Circular window 63 mm on long axis, suspension galvanometer mechanism, with mirror within. Brass adjusting knob for suspension and for zeroing. Two bakelite terminals one black one marked "+", near back. Short-circuit strip across terminals.
Grey - Painted wood box 320 x 175 x 195 mm, labeled "Integrator".

The integrator could also be used for the detection of submarines.
