Badge and star: Order of Ouissam Alaouite, 1st class
Awarded to Adm-Fleet Lord Cunningham of Hyndhope. Badge: Gilt, a five pointed white-enamelled star with deep red edges, green leaves between the points of the star. A circular boss in the centre, red with a gold inscription in Arabic. Reverse: Similar except for centre which has a red edge and a silver gilt centre with an Arab device (Cherifien umbrella) in red. Suspended by a silver gilt wreath of palm leaves from an orange ribbon with a narrow white stripe down each edge. The ribbon bears a rosette in its own colours and is designed to be worn on the left breast with other medals. Star: A rayed silver star with forty rays and five main points. In the centre a full sized replica of the badge (obverse) without the palm leaves. Worn on the right breast in the French style.
