European, African and Middle Eastern Campaign Medal
Awarded to Adm-Fleet Lord Cunningham of Hyndhope. Obverse: An L.S.T. and a landing craft, troops in the foreground. Inscription: "EUROPEAN AFRICAN MIDDLE EASTERN CAMPAIGN". Reverse: The Amercian Eagle (L) wings folded, standing on a plinth. Inscription: "THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, 1941 1945". Suspended by a ring from a green ribbon with brown edges. In the centre of the green is a narrow stripe of blue, white, red (USA); to the left, between green and brown, a stripe of green, white, red (Italy) and to the right, a stripe of white, black, white (Germany). The ribbon bears four bronze battle stars. Mounted on a bar with twenty others.
