Condition on receipt:
Mount: discolouration, abrasion, missing areas, stains, foxing.
Drawing: discolouration, stains, scratch, minor foxing. Pigments are stable.
Treatments:
Mount: humidification using a chamber, neutrisation and washing with Ca(OH)2 (pH8, 30C degrees). Flattened.
Drawing: surface cleaning with soft brush and grated eraser. old repair tapes/ adhesive residue were removed. fumidified with a chamber and washed twice with Ca(OH)2 using a Kuramata spray and a soft brush. Condition was improved. Missing area on right top corner was repaired with toned cartridge paper. Other missing areas were repaired with toasted cellulose paste. Original holes were not infilled. Flattened.
