A Dutch Fleet getting under way circa 1665
This panoramic drawing depicts a large Dutch fleet with some ships still at anchor with sails furled and others with topsails loosed. On the left there is a rear-admiral of the van and the commander-in-chief, in the centre an admiral and a vice-admiral of the centre squadron, and on the right an admiral. There is a galjoot in the right foreground.
