Dish
A relic of Sir John Franklin's last expedition 1845-48. A dish possibly made from a lantern part found by the Burwash Expedition 1925-26 on King William Island. A small hole in the base has been plugged with solder and three copper studs have been filed off on the concave side of the plate. The item is marked 'G'. It was presented to the Royal Naval Museum, Greenwich in 1927 by the Canadian Government.
