'Agamemnon' at sea, a cutter in the foreground
Watercolour entitled 'Agamemnon at sea, a cutter in the foreground'. The cutter may be a pilot and on the right a second ship in stern view flies the post-1843 Green company house flag. The 'Agamemnon' is presumed to be the vessel of approximately 1700 tons built by Green's at Blackwall in 1855 for their London to Australia run, see PAH9322. Here she is flying her code number but no house flag. The drawing is heightened with white body colour.
