The Dutch Fleet getting under way near Hellevoetsluis? October-November 1664

In the right foreground, across the right half of this narrow horizontal drawing is the shore and a pier, probably on the coast of Holland near Hellevoetsluis. The fleet is shown in the background with ships either at anchor or under sail. Several are firing their guns as a States yacht with flags at the masthead and peak approaches the fleet.

This is an unsigned pencil and wash drawing by the Elder.
