Sea Service Pistol
Sea Service pistol. This pistol is very similar to AAA2414 and presumably conforms to the same official requirement. There are some slight differences as follows: there is no apparent Liege mark on the barrel; the mark on the lockplate in the same position as that on AAA2414 is different and shows a Crown over 'O N'; the barrel is shorter and the calibre is 0.7in. The pistol is inscribed HMS 'Victory'. The attribution to HMS 'Victory' is presumably false.
