Foul weather trousers
Off white trousers, machine sewn canvas. Flap front with adjustment string at back of waistband. One cotton lined pocket, nine bone buttons. Paper label. Official issue clothing belonging to Edmund Horton Knott (1872-1943), Keeper of the South Foreland lighthouse in 1901. Probably lifeboat issue.
