White fibreglass(?) tapered cylindrical body, black compass card with white lettering, covered by a transparent plastic hemisphere, protected by two quarter-sphere painted metal covers. The card is graduated to 5-degree intervals, labelled every 20 degrees, and in quadrantal points.
