Sea Service Pistol
Sea Service pistol: The stock is made of walnut and is fully stocked to the muzzle. Fitted with brass trigger guard and brass buttcap. A single brass ramrod pipe is fitted forward of the fore-end into which the wooden ramrod with brass tip is fitted. Steel trigger with slight backward curl. A steel belt hook is fitted to the side of the stock. The lock is a sidelock, flintlock, the barrel is circular and smoothbore. The calibre is 0.56in. It is inscribed on the lockplate with 'TOWER' crown over 'GR'. On the barrel is a crown over 'GR' over an anchor motif. Inscribed on the stock is 'II P' crown over arrow over '1806'.
