Pennant of the Great Bitter Lakes Yacht Club. Great Bitter Lakes Yacht Club was formed to organise recreational activities for the crews of the fourteen ships trapped in the Suez canal following its closure during the Arab-Israeli war of 1969. Burgee, blunt ended pennant shape, in synthetic fibre with a cotton hoist. Machine sewn with a printed design. The burgee is blue bearing a yellow anchor, with a white horizontal stripe across the centre with the number 14 in blue.
