Great Bitter Lakes Yacht Club was formed to organise recreational activities for the crews of the fourteen ships trapped in the Suez canal following its closure during the Arab-Israeli war of 1969. Burgee, blunt ended pennant shape, in synthetic fibre with a cotton hoist. Machine sewn with a printed design. The burgee is blue bearing a yellow anchor, with a white horizontal stripe across the centre with the number 14 in blue.
