Boat gun
Boat gun. The stock is fitted with two brass ramrod pipes and a steel ramrod. Long broad brass trigger guard and flat brass butt cap. Fitted with iron swivel yoke. The lock was a flintlock (which is missing). The barrel is made of steel, tapering towards muzzle. It is painted black. The calibre is 1.75in. Inscribed on the lockplate is the word 'TOWER' the date '1793' and the letters 'VEIC' within a heart - the mark of the East India Company.
