Button, Royal Naval uniform: pattern 1812
Replica 1812 pattern Captain's button. Flat gilt button. Rope twist border. Within a circular border is an oval with a rope twist inner edge and a lined background. A pre-1901 crown is above a fouled anchor with the rope tied to a ring at the top as it goes under the right-hand side of the stock, then under the shank to the left, then back under the shank to the right and under the right fluke.
