This small electronic display unit is designed for use on the deck of a yacht, where it gives a readout from the navigational systems housed below decks. It was used aboard the racing yacht 'Maiden', which took part in the Whitbread Round the World yacht race in 1989-90. The crew, skippered by Tracy Edwards, was the first all-female crew to take part in the race.
