Horary quadrant with Gunter projection
This brass quadrant with Gunter scales is an unusual example as the scales on the reverse scale read in the opposite direction to other quadrants of the same type.
A brass Gunter quadrant for latitude 51˚ North. Obverse: degree scale along circumference, divided anticlockwise 1-90, numbered by 10˚, subdivided to 1˚. The date scale runs from winter solstice to summer solstice and back again, divided to 2 days, except near the solstices. The Equator and Tropics are drawn parallel to circumference. Declination scale on left-hand edge <DIVIDED>. Line of the eclitpic
