Above, a crowned eagle, wings outspread, perches on a cartouche bearing the arms of Savoy. Legend: 'AI BENEMERITI DELLA CROCE ROSSA ITALIANA.' In the centre an inscription (incuse) with a star above 'DITTA WILLIAM DENNY E BROTHERS LTD DUMBARTON.'
