Punch and Judy puppet: the baby

A glove puppet, part of a Punch and Judy set belonging to puppeteer Peter Butchard (1909-2009). The character is a miniature Mr Punch and is probably the baby. Punch is left to look after the baby and throws it out of the booth. The puppet has a painted wooden head and hands with a padded wooden stick attached to the head running inside the body. The body is made of red velvet trimmed with yellow braid. It ls lined with green fabric. The character has a hooked nose and chin and white wool hair.
