Slapstick

A slapstick, part of a Punch and Judy set belonging to puppeteer Peter Butchard (1909-2009). Two flat pieces of wood joined together with a shorter piece of wood between them. The stick makes a loud noise when something is hit by it. The centre join is reinforced with elastoplast.
