Naval architect's drawing curve. One of a set of three, the others marked EQS0517 and EQS0519.
Made by Linex of Denmark, with an identifying code number. Used in the drawing of ships lines which is a highly skilled draughtsmen occupation. Most draughtsmen would have a set of up to fifty. Traditionally the finest curves came from Denmark and were known as Copenhagen's curves. In the early days ships apprentice draughtsmen would have made their own curves copying good ones from their seniors.
