Spatula
Wooden spatula. A pierced and interlaced pattern is carved on the handle and a loop pattern in the middle of the shaft. It has a leaf-shaped blade. Used while cooking rice, the pattern of this distinctive spatula follows a design that evolved among runaway slave communities. Part of the Michael Graham-Stewart slavery collection.
