Halfpenny
An engraved halfpenny. On the obverse is depicted a slave standing with his hands held up, tied to a pole, and being whipped by a man in a top hat. Beneath the image is the inscription; 'Mercy Massa'. On the reverse is a chained slave kneeling, with a spade in the ground behind him.
