The sextant has a black crackle-lacquered alloy casing with artificial materials, housing optical equipment, a clockwork averaging mechanism, electrical equipment, and a rubber eyecup. The sextant is in poor condition and badly corroded with various parts missing. It has no box or case.
The instrument has a scale measuring from 0°-80° by 1°, and a vernier measuring to 1 arcminute.
