'A Night to Remember' jigsaw box
Waddington's 'A Night to Remember' jigsaw. Cardboard jigsaw with the pieces in an unopened polythene bag inside a cardboard box. The box has a colour picture of the sinking liner and of passengers in the saloon talking to C.H. Lightoller as played by Kenneth More. Inscription: 'JIG-SAW FULLY INTERLOCKING OVER 470 PIECES, SIZE 16 X 21 DES. NO 417 PREMIÈRE.' On scroll: 'A night that will always be remembered, one of the most dramatic in the history of the Sea. One cold clear night in 1912 the "unsinkable" Titanic hit and iceberg and the hugh liner sank taking with it over 1, 500 men, women and children. Before midnight passengers had been enjoying the luxuries of a floating palace and, but a few hours later, were struggling for survival in the icy waters. The exitement, tragedy and heroism of that fateful night as fully retold in the Rank Organisation's "A Night to Remember", the biggest film ever produced by Pinewood Studios. The leading part is played by the star Kenneth More, supported by David McCallum, Jill Dixon, Lawrence Naismith, Frank Lawton and John Cairney.'
