Chart of the North Polar Sea
Scale: [circa 1:2,000,000]. Paper - Arctic Expedition number 1. Sea and coastline coloured. Various pen and pencil additions added in manuscript and also a colour key added (1849) in manuscript showing the discoveries of Ross, Parry, Franklin and Richardson, Beechey, Back, Dease and Simpson and Rae. Chart torn in several places and very fragile. Number 264 ordered by the House of Commons to be printed, 13 April 1848.
