Discoveries in the Arctic Sea up to MDCCCLIV.

No scale given. Coloured folding chart, linen backed.Folds into cardboard, leather covered box. Gold lettering on front of box reads 'Artic Sea, 1855' and on spine 'Arctic Sea'. Chart shows various discoveries in area by different explorers, up to 1854. Tracks of Captain Hoppner; Captain Maclure, 1850 and Franklin's track homeward September 1821. Inscribed in pencil in whale sound top right hand side of chart 'Polaris 18 October 1872 nipped'.
