Quilted silk embroidery, mounted framed and glazed. Possibly made in the Far East. In the background, a liner with 'TITANIC' on the bows heading for an iceberg. A monument on the shore in the foreground. is Inscribed: 'WOMEN AND CHILDREN FIRST / IN . MEMORY . OF . THOSE . WHO . PERISHED SEA 15 . 4 . 1912 / FROM TITANIC R . I . P.' A mourning angel kneels on a plinth draped with the Union Flag and US Flag. A lifebelt on the steps of the memorial inscribed: 'TO THE HEROES OF TITANIC'. The sky which is a plain piece of silk, darkens towards the horizon.
