Terrestrial pocket globe

An island off the coast of Argentina, sighted by Antonio de la Roche in 1675 and never sighted again, is marked 'very doubtfull'. In the south polar region, the most southern point depicted is South Shetland and Enderby's Land is not yet indicated. The voyages of several explorers are tracked on the globe, including those of Cook, Gore and Clerke. A total of seven oceans are named.
