Celestial pocket globe - case for the terrestrial pocket globe. Spherical case consists of two hinged hemispheres with two hook and eye clasps. It is lined with gores depicting celestial sphere. Astronomical details are the same as Senex GLB0035 as well as Price and Senex GLB0013. There is a labelled magnitude table in front of Ursa Major. The Milky Way is labelled. A total of 22 stars and three star groups are named. The 48 Ptolemaic constellations and two of the non-Ptolemaic constellations are drawn. There are two of the southern constellations as well as those of Plancius and one of Hevelius.
