Accutron
Bulova ‘Accutron’ tuning-fork wrist watch. This movement employs a vibrating tuning fork to keep time, and was the ‘next step’ after electrically-maintained balance-controlled watches. The tuning fork watches were highly accurate and the state-of-the-art for about a decade until they were superseded by quartz technology in the late-1960s and early-1970s.
