Grass ring
A grass ring with an attached label: 'This Indian grass was platted by Her Majesty The Queen of the Huron tribe in Lower Canada & presented to J. Nelson at the Palas Royal Lauret - near Quebec Augt 3rd 1827'. The Huron-Wendat supplemented their income as farmers with the sale of handicrafts to tourists, particularly birchbark and moosehair embroidery.
