Bound set of twenty-four prints of H.M. Troop Ship 'Jumna's' trip to India and back in a booklet. The prints depict views including embarkation at Portsmouth and Bombay, at anchor in Malta, passing Mount Sinai, sailing through the Red Sea and Bombay Harbour. On the reverse of the booklet 'H.M.J.T.S. Jumna built by Private contract for the Conveyance of Troops to and from India, capable of carrying 1100 men with Baggage besides 120 Women & Children. Length of ship 382 ft, Breadth of ship 49ft, Depth of ship 22 ft, Tons of ship 6211 ft, H.P. of ship 4044 ft'. This is followed by the route to Bombay via Suez Canal with the mileage between the stopover ports of Gibralter, Malta, Port Said, Suez and Aden. The overall mileage between Portsmouth and Bombay being 6142 miles.
