In 1921, the 'Verity' was involved in a flying boat rescue off Plymouth. a short film, 'Gallant Devon Fishermen of the steam trawler "Verity" who rescued the crew of wrecked seaplane receive Board of Trade awards. Plymouth' was made by Pathe at the time.
