Woomera
Australian Aboriginal spear thrower. It is spoon-shaped at one end, witha notch at the other. An old label is printed: 'TOST & ROHU'S MUSEUM. 10, 12 & 14 Moore St & 305 George Street Sydney tel 2196' and hand written: 'Aboriginal's ...omera used for throwing spears.' This firm of taxidermists run by Jane Tost and Ada Rohu was in business from 1886 to 1923. They also sold curios.
