Dressing table
Ship's dressing table with a detachable swing mirror. Two long drawers and two short drawers in the bottom section with brass handles set at an angle. The swing mirror in flanked by two fittings each containing two very small drawers with a compartment for bottles above each. There are ball catches on the bottom of all the drawers. Pencilled on the base of the half drawer: 'J. Girard ...Co 326 Inf, 118 Granite St, St Paul, Minnesota USA'. Pencilled in the small drawers: 1) 'B. Tharle', on the other side: 'Mr Joseph F. Cre... Batty B 309 H.F.A. USA June 5 1918'. 2) 'R.D. Fielding, Blackburn, Room 27 Aug 1937. 3) Illegible. 4) 'F. Brophy, 58 Oaklyn Gardens, Shanklin 15 May 1963'.
