Sea chest

Pine sea chest the exterior painted pink. It has sloping sides and skirting boards, the handles in the form of cleats and wormed rope beckets. Inside there is a till with a hinged lid. There is also a painting inside the lid. It depicts in the centre a ship under sail - the name pennant at the masthead is inscribed: 'TERESA'. On a ribbon above: 'Thomas Ray Barr, Greenock'. To the left a sailor leaning on an anchor, the Red Ensign and Stars and Stripes above; below: 'Homeward Bound'. To the right, a female figure, inscribed below: 'Welcome Home'.
