Sea chest
Sea chest with sloping, dovetailed sides, the exterior painted black. The bottom boards are extended and rounded. It has a lock. Inside there is a till with a lid, another till which ran across the back is now missing. The carrying handles consist of cleats screwed on from inside, carved with two diamonds and a heart with wormed rope beckets. Pencil sketches of square-rigged ships are stuck inside the lid and covered with perspex.
