Sea chest
Chest said to have been Nelson's first sea chest. It has straight sides, of dovetailed construction with a hinged lid. There are skids underneath. Two iron strips with thee studs are screwed to the lid, which is secured by two hasps originally closed with padlocks. The chest formerly had handles at the ends, these are now missing.
