Sea chest
Black-painted, pine sea chest belonging to William George Solkhon (1872-1919) Engine Room Artificer, RN. The chest has straight sides and is reinforced with iron plates at th corners. It has skirting boards, beckets and rope handles, with a hinged lid and a lock. A batten is attached to the back. On the lid a brass plate inscribed: 'W. SOLKHON ERA'.
