Travelling chest
Travelling chest in pine with curved corners and nailed construction. The corners are reinforced with iron plates. The chest is secured by hasps to take padlocks and has iron drop handles on the ends. Carved on the lid: 'Mrs C Stone, 1st class Passenger to Constantinope Pd Steamer Paraguay.'
