Writing box
Rosewood writing box with brass corners, a lock plate and a plaque on the lid inscribed: 'R. Crosbie R.N.' It opens to form a sloping desk top with a blue plush surface. There is a drawer in the base , inkwells and two further compartments in the front. The top and base open to reveal further compartments. The contents of box are two inkwells (not matching), two horn handled pens, parallel rules, three seals, an ivory handled seal with a unicorn crest and motto 'Toujours pret', a tortoiseshell handled folding knife in a case, a small brass snuff box and a Vernon medal.
