A box belonging to Alexander Trotter, Paymaster 1786. Teak box with brass corners annd handles. Small and large compartment inside with green baize on bottom. On a brass plate on the lid: Alexr Trotter. Paymaster to His Majesty's Navy 1786.' Also on a printed book plate inside: 'Alexr Trotter Esq. Paymaster to His Mj's Navy 1786'.
