Chest
Leather-covered chest with leather handles which belonged to Admiral Adam Duncan (1731-1804). The leather is attached with domed upholstery nails, small iron plates reinforce the corners. There is a leather flap round the edge of the hinged lid. The interior is lined with red and yellow wallpaper with a pattern of stripes and flowers. The chest had a lock.
