Fireback
Cast iron fireback. Arched rectangular shape with cavetto-moulded edging, having convex semicircular projections on the inner edge. The fireback is decorated with the full Stuart royal coat of arms, surrounded by the garter ribbon inscribed: 'HONI SOIT QUY MAL Y PENSE'. 'DIEU ET MON DROIT' on strapwork below. The pattern maker's monogram 'RN' is placed behind the unicorn supporter.
