The Grand Fleet in Scapa Flow
A view of some of the battleships and armoured cruisers of the Grand Fleet in Scapa Flow. In the foreground is the Queen Elizabeth class battleship HMS Warspite (1913). In the background just to her left are two battleships of the Bellerophon class, and at extreme left what may be a battleship of the Iron Duke class. In the background to the right are two armoured cruisers, both of which appear to be of the Devonshire class. Warspite's turrets are trained to starboard towards the camera, and the varied elevation of the guns suggests that loading drills are being conducted.
