Cellarette
Oak cellarette veneered with amboyna, burr, Cuban mahogany and inlaid with ebony. Tulip wood banding. Has silver gilt lion's paw feet and ring handles held by lion masks. The interior is lined with blue velvet and contains a tray holding three decanters, sixteen wine glasses and 15 liqueur glasses. Reputedly belonged to Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) but the handles are hallmarked 1807. Good family provenance.
