The 5th Battle Squadron at sea
A view of the ships of the 5th Battle Squadron conducting gunnery exercises at sea. To the left is the Queen Elizabeth class battleship HMS Warspite (1913), with her sister HMS Barham (1914) ahead. The latter's 15-inch guns are training on the starboard beam and she has is leading the Squadron in a turn in line ahead formation. Warspite's 'A' turret is trained to starboard but her remaining turrets are trained fore and aft.
