Cabin bed
Cane-panelled cabin bed with teak frame. Cane base and double thickness cane back, sides and hinged front supported by small brass catches. Three large drawers below, each with two pressed brass ring handles (small holes 2.5 inches apart where original handles fitted). Iron rings on end panels for lashing down (three remain on left side, one on right). Strengthening bracket back right. Hinges on front panel have been moved slightly. Brass hinges marked with arrows. It belonged to Lieutenant Robert Rust RN (1785-1845).
