HMS Queen Elizabeth (1913)
A view aft down the port side of the forecastle deck of the battleship HMS Queen Elizabeth (1913) from roughly abreast the funnels. In the foreground is the copula for the portside torpedo director position. Near it is the base of the 3-inch anti-aircraft gun mounting. A hose lying on the deck just behind is discharging steam. In the background the rear part of 'X' turret can be seen with the turret trained to starboard. Partially obscured by the steam is the portside 6-inch mounting, with the gun's breech facing the camera. To the right of the picture are the armoured cruisers HMS Black Prince (1904) and HMS Duke of Edinburgh (1904), although at this distance it is not possible to determine which is which.
